Gareth Wyn is taking clubland by storm. Mixmag Future Hero, Cream Ibiza Resident, label owner and Radio 1 favourite, he's part of the DJ producer nu breed, fast earning a reputation as one of the scene's rising stars.

Gareth's recent smash Beautiful was championed by Pete Tong. An Essential New Tune contender, Pete went on to open his legendary Friday night show with the track and then invited Gareth on to Radio 1 in September 2010 for his Fifteen Minutes of Fame interview, describing a “real rising star on the UK scene”. January 2011 Gareth debuts on the Radio 1 Essential Mix, showcasing his upbeat, driving sound to a worldwide audience.

Now Brixton based, but with strong Welsh connections, Gareth mastered his DJ skills at Cream in Liverpool, where he’s become a steadfast in the main room for the clubland institution, developing a huge following with the superclub’s faithful. He’s been recognised as Best Breakthrough DJ at the Mixmag Ibiza Dance Awards and 2011 sees him return to Ibiza with Cream, bi-weekly resident at the mighty Amnesia.

Gareth’s production skills are also gaining serious recognition. A classically trained musician, he writes, produces and engineers from his own South London studio, with an output and appreciation that transcends genre; house, progressive, through to trance and techno. Signed to the legendary Maelstrom Records for his up tempo productions and the market leader Cr2 for his house output, he also releases more underground music on his own label Beat That.

His demand as a producer and remixer has exploded in the last 12 months. Gareth’s worked on two Beyonce singles ‘Broken Hearted Girl’ and ‘Video Phone’, Usher's recent chart smash 'More' and Christina Aguilera's comeback 'Not Myself Tonight'. Add to that his huge remix of BT’s ‘Flaming June’, signed to dutch label Blackhole, and remixes for The Gossip, Junkie XL, Labrinth, Natasha Bedingfield, Diana Vickers, Leona Lewis, Duffy and the house re-work for the huge DJ Mujava ‘Township Funk’. Gareth is also working on the new Britney Spears single for 2011.

House Rules is the club night Gareth runs with his brother at Plan B in Brixton. AN21, Chris Lake, Michael Woods, Steve Angello, Darren Emerson and James Zabiela have all appeared alongside Gareth in the last 12 months on their huge Funktion One sound system. House Rules has rapidly developed into one of the capital's hottest parties hosting shows with Deadmau5, Swedish House Mafia and an arena at Tiesto in Victoria Park 2010.

Gareth has also toured worldwide, headlining Cream shows in Jakarta, Indonesia and Manila in the Philippines. Back in the UK he’s breaking through into the UK scene, and let’s not forget Creamfields Liverpool where Gareth has smashed the awesome 10,000 capacity main Cream Arena for the last three years. Keep your eyes on the booth and ears to the speaker - Gareth Wyn is on fire!
